wow.. i'm back from paris! yay me! well i was back thursday night and well. it's monday afternoon right now.. but i'm back anyway! that's all that matters right? RIGHT! haha so i guess i hsould tell you what happened in paris.. but no super long entry.. way to lazy to do it.. so many better things to do at home now!
day i saturday, july 24, 2004
- well didn't sleep all night.. so 8 hour bus trip to paris. slept the whole way :D
- hotel brébant on rue montmartre, dropped off bags
- walking tour of "neighbourhood" (stupid alain walks us all the way to the restaurant he wants to eat at and tells us to leave and find our own meal)
- dinner at del'arte, first 4 of us ... then 5 more ppl... then 4 more ppl.. then 2 more ppl... 15/22 of us at the same restaurant entering at different times.... (mmm smoked salmon pizza! + free caraf water!)
- walk to la seine, passed everything on the way. really tired, got piggy back ride from pierre (never doing that again, he ran diagonally across the street...)
- bateaux mouches... so boring, sat with nick, discussed how to abolish culture of ppl singing and screaming in front of us [CULTURE CLUB!!! :D]
- went back to hotel by subway. (stupid alain doesn't know which stop and we end up walking another 15 min to our hotel even though there's a subway right in front of our hotel... -_-")
- curfew @ 12. shower and sleep.
day ii sunday, july 25, 2004
- breakfast @ hotel (croissants, yogourts, pastry stuff, grapefruit juice, apple sauce, hot chocolate)
- walked to montmartre in the morning. saw sacre-coeur again. walked around montmartre.
- subway to champs-elysees to see tour de france (zach buys 20 euro hat and 20 euro shirt [rip off])
- lunch at some fast food place
- walked along champs-elysees singing:

- got on camera :D but never saw on tv
- back to hotel.. stayed there the rest of the night, minus 30 min walk around. did masks and hair and stuff. took pictures of that haha
- curfew @ 12 again. sleep
day iii monday, july 23, 2004
- breakfast in hotel (same stuff)
- morning tour of paris. fell asleep 10 min in, woke up at the eiffel tower, photo op, back on bus, fell asleep again.
- louvre : 2.5 hour tour, boring at first, stories became interesting.. went back in after tour, wenky bought louvre book. stayed another 1.5 hours..
- walked back to hotel, bought hagen daaz ice cream with wenky along the way. ate at opera bastille, rested at hotel
- subway to eiffel tower. climbed it for 3,50 euros. took ten million pictures, ate on the eiffel tower had lots of fun, talked a lot, good quality time spent with wenky. ( found out later that anne and alix were there at the same time)
- back to hotel, talked with jessica and katie
- curfew @ 12. sleep.
day iv tuesday, july 24, 2004
- breakfast in hotel (same stuff)
- first completely free day
- shopping at la fayette, h&m (bought make up bag, sweatpants, tank top, mirror, clip [which i lost ]), zara (bought bag)
- went to cemetary to see chopin, jim morrison, bizet, delacroix (his is made of volcanic stone or sumtin)
- back to hotel, bought crepes for dinner, talked on phone, jessica left, slept from 8-10, woke up, girl talk with sarah jessica and nick ( lots of other ppl went to see moulin rouge for 85 euros, too expensive to see boobies.. ) [guys... CHOCOLATE BREAK!] {nick: captain oblivious!}
- other ppl bought vodka nad rum and everything and mixed their own drinks. anne got so drunk, barfed a lot. no one got hangovers...
- curfew @ 12. sleep.
day v wednesday, july 25, 2004
- ppl went to versailles (only 10)
- pierre calls at 8, way too tired, complain, tell him to wake us up later, calls again at 915, still sleeping. danny and pierre come barging into room at 930.. still sleeping.. they go down get food (apple sauce) come back up. still sleeping... jessica gets ready, i'm still sleeping. pierre falls asleep. we all wake up, clean up, i change inconspicously in front of danny and pierre and the mirror and they don't realize i've changed until i'm in a completely different outfit...
- crepe breakfast, 1030 meet sarah at hotel lobby.
- SHOPPING AGAIN!! :D shoe search for sarah's dress
- bought another clip from h&m.. (costs the same as the washroom anyway! 0,50 euros)
- la fayette, printemps, shoe stores on the street, everywhere.
- lunched @ pomme de pain, in a side street, ate dust from construction... yuck.. and raspberry pie.. mmm....
- look for mom's present... bought swarovski black crystal necklace.. pretty cool 45 euros.
- sarah buys 99 euro shoes... hahahahahahahhahaha.. yea ANNIEway.. haha i did NOT ust say that... *-).. jessica buys 36 euro wallet... -_-"
- mission completed, back to hotel to shower and get ready for dinner.
- dinner at 6.. photo op! alain wears shorts and tshirt.. -_-"... iris.. is...CHINA !! AHAHAHAHAHAHA photo of teachers on imagestation. haha
- dinner at restau... pate appetizer... veal entree... mousse au chocolat dessert... not bad... sooo full.. took lots of pictures... pranced back to hotel.. and then changed... stayed at hotel.. ppl got drinks, chipped in 8 euros to buy chips and snacks...
- went to give key to lobby, moroccan student guy wanted to be my friend and wanted my phone # and email... sure.. WHATEVER dude. hahaha. he goes "just say don't want to be my friend, you're mean" haha... oookay!
- wanted to go out to discotheque, but couldn't find any except gay bar across the street, not opened till 12.. (curfew @ 1) followed zach around (he was drunk)... then back up... so bored, went back to room... moroccan dude avoided eye contact when i went to get the key...
- pack and then sleep..
day vi july 26, 2004
- woke up at 7... packed... lobby wait... breakfast... airport...waited... got on plane.. slept for 5 hours. signed books... got home. saw mommy. hugged. sang the cow song and lance armstrong... and then HOME!
